Imaag

Find the few great shots—fast.

Imaag is a private, local‑first photo organizer for macOS with a lightweight iOS companion. It quickly surfaces what’s good (and what isn’t) so you can ignore the rest or do a final manual pass. Built for high‑volume libraries across every genre of photography. You bring your own LLM API key and control the analysis costs.

Data ownership, by default

Images + thumbnails live on your disk. Metadata is SQLite (CSV/XLS export coming soon). CloudKit storage is in your Apple account, and AI analysis uses your API key — you control the costs.

FAQ

Is Imaag private?

Yes. Sync uses your Apple CloudKit private database. We don’t have access to your photos.

Who pays for AI analysis?

You do. Imaag uses your OpenRouter (or OpenAI‑compatible) API key, so you control billing and limits.

Why does this help so much?

Most shoots are 90% rejects. Imaag helps you get to the 10% fast—then you can do a final manual pass.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Images + thumbnails live on disk, and metadata is SQLite (CSV/XLS export coming soon).

Do I have to upload full‑resolution photos?

No. Full‑res sync is optional. Thumbnails enable fast browsing without full uploads.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your library is local‑first. iOS browsing works with cached thumbnails.
